The First Full Week of School

The school year is off and running, and it's showing no sign of slowing down anytime soon!   I could tell today that all of my students are very excited about learning new things in all their classes, and I can't wait how much they'll have learned by the end of this school year.

Parents, be sure to check your child's take home folders today.  There's a lot of important back-to-school papers inside of it which will need to be signed and brought back ASAP.

Students, as you know, we've started our unit in Math class on multiplication.  If you click on the math tab above, it'll take you to a whole slew (that means "a lot") of games to help you practice your facts at home.  Don't forget to practice your skip counting, too!  We've got our first "50-Facts Quiz" coming up on Friday.

In case you need them to practice, here are your multiples:

2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20
3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30
4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36, 40
5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50
6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 42, 48, 54, 60
7, 14, 21, 28, 35, 42, 49, 56, 63, 70
8, 16, 24, 32, 40, 48, 56, 64, 72, 80
9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, 81, 90

Don't forget about these "Ridiculous Rhymes" either!
8 and 8 went to the store to buy a Nintendo 64 (8 x 8 = 64)
A 4 by 4 is a mean machine I'll get one when I'm 16 (4 x 4 = 16)
Don't know your sevens? There's no need to be crying, because 7 x 7 is 49

                                                                          Keep Working Hard!
