Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2011!

2010 is now a thing of the past; it is officially "old-school".  Each new year brings with it new hopes and dreams, and I am excited to hear about what each of you plans to do differently in this new year.  Students, what "new years resolution" did you make?  In other words, what are you going to try to start doing differently this year that you didn't do last year?  I'd love to hear about it.  Click the text below this post that says "comments" and tell me about the"resolution" you're going to make!

***If you're receiving this post in an email, you won't be able to see the "comments" button.  You'll have to go to my webpage first.  Go to my page by clicking here.***

If you've been checking the calendar, then you've seen that this upcoming week is already a busy one.  We've got our 4th Grade Auction on Thursday and the Reading Counts Celebration (to those of you who reached your goal) on Friday.  Parents, we're still accepting donations for our auction if you'd like to help out.

Also, the first half of the payment for the Mammoth Cave/Barren River State Park field trip is due on February 3rd.  The first payment is $30.00 for students and $35.00 for chaperones/parents.  Checks need to made out to Simmons Elementary.

Students, don't stay up too late tonight!

  1. My New Years Resolution is to start running again. I want to run at least 15 miles every week. We'll see if it happens or not!
