You Got Paid Today!

Students,
If your brought back your take home folder today, then you got your first paycheck put into your bank account! Click the image below to go to the bank's main page.

Or you can go to http://mykidsbank.org

You can login to your account up the top. The bank number is 1366. The user name is your first name. So if your name was Bob, you would type in bob. Your password is your lunch number. Go ahead and check it out! Parents, don't forget, you can always take a look at their accounts, too. You'll just have to ask your child for their lunch number.

This week we'll be doing a brief introduction to economics. We'll be going over some basic terms (that you're probably already familiar with): goods and services, supply and demand, and scarcity and surplus. Scarcity is a big one...its one you'll get used to hearing a lot this year!

Want a heads up? Here's a fun game that can teach you a bit about economics:

Try to make as much money as you can in as little time as you can. I'll give you a hint when you play. Think: When would the demand for lemonade be high?

See you guys in a few!

  10. Yes, the Lee Resolution is a document from U.S. History. What's written in it is a Primary Source. It's the real deal. Oh... from now on, try to keep these comments (about Primary Sources) underneath the "Primary Source" post!
