It's Almost Winter Break... Almost!

The weather is getting colder; no snow yet though! It definitely is starting to feel like the Holidays are just around the corner.  Here are some reminders for these next couple of weeks:

~ Our proposal for our next Washington, DC fundraiser has been put into the Board of Education.  Their meeting is tomorrow night (Monday, December 10th), so we'll make an "official" announcement after we get approval.  Yes, we will need volunteers!

~ The "Snowflake Feast" is this Thursday, December 19th.  Dress nice!  If your child is new to Simmons, this is one of the special treats of the year.  The cafeteria is decorated up for the Winter, and the students and staff eat their meal together!  Dress nice!  Good manners are a must!  I know they're still in need of volunteers, too, if you'd like to help out!

~ This Friday (December 14th) is our "Holiday Accessories" Day.  "Deck" yourselves out!

~ Monday, December 17 is "Wacky Socks Day".

~ Tuesday, December 18 is "Tacky and Bad Sweater Day"

~ That Tuesday (December 18th) is also our 5th grade Holiday Concert that evening at 6:00.  Can't wait to see you all there!

~ December 19th is "Pajama Day"

~ December 20th marks the first day of Winter Break!

This week in Social Studies we'll be talking about all of the causes of the American Revolution.  I found this video last year that's... well... kinda awesome!  Enjoy!
