The Simmons Elementary Tournament Challenge

Image via Wikipedia

March has arrived, and that means that the NCAA Basketball Tournament is just around the corner.  Most of us make picks for the games, fill out a bracket (or two), and watch our favorite teams compete!

For the 3rd year in a row, Simmons Elementary is giving you the opportunity to create a bracket with your child for the tournament.  Our brackets will be filled out online at  Your bracket will then be placed in a group of other students and staff from Simmons.  For each correct pick made, points are awarded.  By the end of the NCAA Tournament, the bracket with the most points wins; plus you’ll get bragging rights until next year!

In order to join the group, a parent/guardian will first need to create an account with (there’s instructions how to do this on the back of this sheet). You can also now login to ESPN.COM with your Facebook account.   Next, click on this link. Then click “create your entry” to name your bracket.  Next, click “Join a Group” and type “Simmons” into the search box.  Click the word Simmons that appears in the grey box right below where you typed.  The password to join the group is the name of the COUNTY we live in in all lowercase letters.  The whole process takes about 5 minutes.  Don’t forget to make your picks afterwards!
