#BostonStrong

As many of you know, I grew up just outside of the city of Boston.  I wanted to write this post to say thank you to everyone who has sent me emails and messages asking about my family and friends who still live there.  Yes, they are all alright -- still a little shaken up by this ordeal -- but they are doing alright.  A good old friend of mine was running in the Boston Marathon, thankfully, she was a few miles from the finish line when it happened.

Bad things will always happen; they're a part of life.  But thankfully, when they do, we get great moments like the one below.  Last night was the first hockey game in Boston for the Bruins (our team).  Here's what happened when they played our country's National Anthem...

It's moments like this that make me proud to be an American.
