Good Morning/Good Afternoon/Good Evening

Students and Parents,

I think it'll be evening for y'all back in Kentucky when this blog post gets emailed out, but I really don't even know anymore. All I know is that its 1:00am Sydney time, and I'm wide awake.  Thank you, jet lag!

I still can't believe I'm actually down here, halfway around the world.  This weekend I've been doing a lot of touristy kinda stuff (going to the beach, checking out some good eats around Sydney Harbour, etc).  I've posted a couple of good photos on the tumblr if you'd like to see what I've been seeing.

Here's a photo I took while on a hike from Coogee Beach to Bondi Beach.  You can't really tell from the photo, but those waves are a good 10 feet (or about 2.5 meters as they say down here) high.

The Google Teacher Academy starts on Tuesday, and I've already got to meet a few of my fellow teachers attending the training with me.  Some are from New Zealand, Australia, and even Singapore. They are all quite cool and are just as excited as I am to be here.

Hey, don't forget to give me your best on your testing next week.  You've worked hard on your learning all year; now it's time to show what you know.

By the way... I heard the good news. Go TEAM BLUE!

Keep up the good work.  The spirit stick is ours!
