Some Weekly Reminders...

Students and Parents:

Can't believe it's almost September!  Feels like only yesterday I was just getting to know you all at Back to School night!

Here's a few weekly announcements for you all:

~ We still need runners!  With the Run4DC 5K less than 3 weeks away, it's go time for our 5K.  We're on pace to have a bigger turnout than last year, but that won't happen without continued help from you all at home.  Thank you to everyone who has already hung up signs, passed out registration forms, and signed up to volunteer.  On that note, I'll be sending out an email to volunteers this weekend.  Don't forget, you can also send people to our race's website if they'd like to register online: www.run4dc.com (make sure you tell them it's the "number 4".)

~ I know many of you have asked about your child's "Google Account".  I will be sending home your child's account login and password tomorrow with them tomorrow.  I was going to do it today, but had some technical difficulties (school internet was down and I couldn't access my files).  Their account can be used to access anything we do at school at home if you'd like to see what they're up to!

~ Grandparents day is also coming up on next Friday, September the 6th.  I'll be sending home a form tomorrow (Thursday) to collect numbers and names of all grandparents who are interested in attending.  It's always a good time!

~ Also, fifth graders, next Friday (September 6th) is the day that the first payment for Washington, DC is due ($60.00 per person going).  Please make sure to get this in on time as we are trying to finalize our total numbers for the trip.  Thanks!

~ Fourth graders, we will have a big field trip in the spring, too.  We're putting the finishing touches on it right now and will let you all know what and where as soon as we know!

Lastly, students, have you learned your 50 states and capitols yet?  Here's a video that might help!
