Weekly Reminders!

Hello Students and Parents!

I hope your week is off to a great start.  Today I introduced your child to our classroom blogging website,  If your child is in the fourth grade, they can login to their blog by clicking here.  If he/she is in the fifth grade, they can click here to login.  I shared their password with them in class today, too.

If you haven't done it yet, please try to login to your child's Google Account at home.  Check their Google Drive, too.  There's some work that your child has completed in there that you can take a look at anytime!

Also, this week is Red Ribbon Week here at Simmons.  We're celebrating being Drug Free!  This year's theme is A Healthy Me is Drug Free. Your child will be getting something to take home each day on Wednesday through Friday.

October 23 – Ribbons for drug free awareness
October 24 – Pencils, because we are "too sharp" to do drugs
October 25 – A drawstring backpack reminding us we can all be healthy if we stay drug free!

If you haven't done it yet, one of the ways that we'll be communicating with you this year is through a free texting service called Remind101.  In order to get these texts, you'll need to do the following two steps:

~If your child is in the fifth grade, text @simmons5th to the phone number 442-333-7982.

~If your child is in the fourth grade, text @simmons4th to the phone number 442-333-7982

Just some quick reminders this week.  Have a good one!

Fifth Graders: later on this week we'll be talking about the Pilgrims (sometimes called "The Separatists")  up in Plymouth.  I found this video tonight.  It's one of those "so-bad-its-good" type of songs.  Must. Watch. Now:
