Leaving (Not on a Jet Plane)

Students and Parents:

I know this isn't really new knowledge anymore, but this past week I decided to accept a new job working as a classroom teacher/tech integration specialist for the Eminence Independent School system here in Kentucky. Eminence Independent is doing some amazing and innovative things, and I am very honored to have the opportunity to work there starting next fall.

However, while I'm excited for this new opportunity, I am very sad to be leaving Simmons after working here for the past seven years. Deciding to leave this school was not an easy decision for me to make.  I really don't think I can put to words how much Simmons has meant to me since I began working here.  It changed me for the better, and I will always be a part of the Simmons Family.

Please don't hesitate to shoot me an email ( next year, I want to know what you all are up to!

I will miss you all terribly.

Good thing there’s this thing called “The Internet” so we can all keep in touch, eh?
